History is like a play.  The play is in the 3rd or 4th act before you get on stage.   The story line is already well developed, charters have come and gone who have effected the relationships and focus. If we jump in and play our part without knowing what happened before us the movie won't make any sense!  If the actors after us don't understand why we did what we did they won't know whats next or what worked and what didn't work!
