History is like a move.  It started before we get on stage to act out our role and will continue after our role is over.  Every actor in the movie has a purpose and is important to the story line.  If we jump in and play our part without knowing what happened before us the movie won't make any sense!  If the actors after us don't understand why we did what we did they won't know whats next or what worked and what didn't work!
